Father Robert

Father Robert Bader has been a priest for 36 years. Born in California, he was raised in Germany and Venezuela. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, Fr. Bader studied at Nashotah House Seminary and received his master’s degree from Yale Divinity School. Before coming to Georgia, Fr. Bader served parishes in California and Connecticut. Fr. Bader served with Fr. McElveen at St Barnabas Church in Dunwoody and has most recently been Priest-in-Charge at St Francis Church in Gainesville. He is a member of the Society of the Holy Cross and Honorary Canon of the Anglican Cathedral in Columbia, South Carolina.

Fr. Bader enjoys meeting new people and discussing theology, philosophy, arts, and literature. He has travelled to 27 countries and was a competitive alpine skier in his youth. Fr Bader is excited about ministry at St Hilda’s and to the community in Inman Park and beyond.
