Father Jonah

Fr. Bruce earned his M.A. at LSU and his J.D. at UGA.  His Liturgical and pastoral formation was completed under the direction of Archbishop Haverland at St. Stephen’s, Athens, GA. He served as Priest-in-Charge at St. Francis of Assisi, Gainesville, GA, from 2013-2022 and is editor of The Trinitarian. His secular work is in the field of child welfare law, in which he has served as a juvenile court judge and director of the Georgia Supreme Court’s Court Improvement Program.  In 2021, Governor Brian Kemp appointed him as Child Advocate for the State of Georgia, and reappointed him in 2024.  He serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Emory University School of Law.
